What needs repairing?

Whether you have a single hole or a larger section to replace, Tim handles the work personally.

  • Small holes and dents: Door knob damage, wall anchor holes, dings, and other minor damage.
  • Larger wall openings: Sections opened for plumbing, wiring, or access that need to be closed.
  • Cracks and loose seams: Separating tape, damaged corners, nail pops, and cracked seams.
  • Ceiling damage: Holes, access openings, loose tape, and damaged drywall sections.
  • Water-damaged drywall: Repair or replacement after the moisture source has been corrected.

If you have several repairs, include them in your request so Tim can see the full scope.

Does the repair include primer and paint?

It can. Tim can handle the patching and sanding, then prime and paint as part of the job.

When requesting your estimate, explain whether you want the drywall repaired for painting later or want Tim to handle the painting too. Include a wider photo of the wall or ceiling so he can see the surrounding finish, along with a close-up of the damage.

That helps clarify how much work you want included.

Some damage needs attention before patching

An opening left after plumbing work is a different situation from a ceiling damaged by an active leak. Mention any known moisture problem or a crack that has returned after an earlier repair.

The moisture source needs to be corrected before water-damaged drywall is repaired. Let Tim know what happened and whether that problem has already been addressed.

How the work is handled

01

Start with photos or a visit.

Text Tim a description and photos of the damage. For certain small jobs, he may be able to provide an estimate from those photos. An in-person visit is usually best for assessing the work.

02

Protect the work area.

Floors, furniture, and nearby surfaces are covered before cutting or sanding.

03

Complete the repair.

Depending on the damage, the work can involve backing, replacement drywall, tape, joint compound, and sanding.

04

Finish and clean up.

Tim cleans the work area and completes the finishing included in the job, which can extend through primer and paint.

What affects the cost?

Estimates are free. The size of the job and the time needed to complete it affect the price.

Tell Tim about every area you want repaired and whether you want priming and painting included. Photos help him understand the project, but they may not show everything he needs to assess. He may still need to visit before giving you an estimate.
